Barbara Amoah, PhD, PMP

Board Member // Adjunct Professor, Unity Environmental University

Barbara Amoah, PhD, PMP, is an entomologist, educator, and research development professional whose work bridges science, teaching, and community impact. She currently serves as an adjunct professor, teaching and mentoring students, and has supported researchers and innovators through scientific consulting and proposal development.

Barbara’s commitment to STEM access is personal. Growing up in a rural farming community in Ghana, she saw firsthand how limited access to educational resources could shape and limit a young person’s future. That experience strengthened her belief that mentorship, opportunity, and encouragement can help students see themselves as capable of pursuing STEM pathways, regardless of where they start.

As a STEM Generation board member, Barbara is honored to support the organization’s mission of expanding access to inclusive, STEM learning for K-12 students, especially those from underserved and underrepresented communities. She brings scientific expertise, grant strategy experience, and a lived understanding of why access to STEM opportunities matters.
