IMPLEMENT Program Details

Skills-Maker Timing

After your purchase, the Purchaser & Fair Organizer will receive emailed instructions for how to participate in the 14-Week Fair Organizer Support and the Weekly Fair Organizer Q&A Live Teleconference.

The 14 weeks leading up to the fair date you enter, your Fair Organizer will implement your school’s fair and receive weekly emails as part of the 14-Week Email Program Support.

The day of your fair, your Fair Organizer and volunteers run your schools’ Science & Engineering Fair, the whole school community reaps the benefits of all of your hard work, and students have fun!

After your fair, we will email your Fair Organizer requesting they complete a survey about their experience until they complete the survey. This is a critical piece of our program so that we can continue to refine our program and demonstrate its value to our sponsors.

What questions do you have?

When should I enroll?

You can enroll and download materials anytime up to 2 weeks before your fair date. However to receive the full benefits of the program, ideally, you’d enroll any time between now and 14 weeks before your fair date.

So, what exactly is included in the program?

Get the nitty-gritty details and take a peek at the materials here.

In what format are materials provided?

You’ll get all materials in PDF format and emailed content and links.

What grade levels are the materials intended for?

The current material is geared for elementary school and middle school students. Check back with us Spring 2019 for grade-level banded materials: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, & 9-12.

Can you create custom materials for our school’s event?

We’re getting there. Fall 2019, we’ll be adding an IMPLEMENT package that includes creating your school’s webpage and communication pieces populated with information about your school’s Science & Engineering Fair.

Do you organize our Science Fair?

No, we support your school’s Fair Organizer step-by-step over a 14 week time period, or less depending on when you sign up for the program. We do this through the step-by-step weekly emails and on a more personalized level, with the Weekly Fair Organizer Q & A Live Teleconference.  What we provide is the equivalent of a couple volunteers’ work by creating resources and communication pieces for your fair.

When do you host the Weekly Fair Organizer Q & A Live Teleconference?

For the 2019-2020 academic year, we will host the teleconference every Monday from 4:00-5:00 p.m. MST between September 30, 2019 – May 18, 2020, with the exception of the following Mondays. We will open up additional time slots as needed.

  • October 14, 2019 (Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day)
  • November 11, 2019 (Veterans Day)
  • December 23, 2019 (pre-Christmas Day)
  • December 30, 2019 (pre-New Year’s Eve)
  • January 20, 2020 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day)
  • February 17, 2020 (Presidents’ Day)
  • April 20, 2020
What kind of tips do the Weekly Fair Organizer Milestones & Tips emails include?

Each weekly email – take a peek – has three sections of tips:

  1. Fair Organizer Milestone and Tips for Success – practical, step-by-step, how to organize a Science & Engineering Fair, from committee member roles to the fair day checkoff list for any time within the 14 weeks leading up to your fair.
  2. Parent Tips for Effectively Coaching their Kids – you can email or post these tips to help the parents at your school.
  3. Other Helpful Resources – tap into a number of other free and low-cost resources that will lead to a successful Science & Engineering Fair experience for you and for the students, parents, and teachers at your school.

When will I receive the Weekly Fair Organizer Milestones & Tips?

You will begin to receive emails the Sunday of the 14th week before the fair date you enter, or later if you enroll within the 14 weeks prior to your fair. You will continue to receive weekly emails through the week of the fair date. We will send follow-up emails after your fair date requesting your feedback about our program and participation at your school. Your feedback is critical for sustaining our sponsorships.

How do I ensure I receive your emails in my inbox?

Important question. To ensure that you receive our emails in your active email folder and to avoid them going to your SPAM folder, please add programs@wendyw7.sg-host.com to your email contacts. You can find instructions here.

Can you meet with us at our school?

We are sorry, but we are a slim operation here and simply don’t have the staff to do site visits. However, with the Skills-Maker plan, we encourage you to call in and pick our brains during the Weekly Fair Organizer Q & A Live Teleconference. Also, we’d be happy to answer any questions you have about any of our programs – just contact us.

Do you have a setup cost?

Nope. All plan fees are listed – no hidden gimmicks. We are able to provide you with our high-quality, low-cost programs because our costs are offset by grants and our generous partners and donors.

Do you provide discounts for Title 1 schools?

Yes! We offer a 40% discount to schools with greater than 30% Free & Reduced Lunch populations – just send us a link to your school’s demographics data after you purchase the product using the appropriate pricing option on the program page.

What payment methods do you accept?

All orders are processed through PayPal using either your credit card or a PayPal account.
