A diverse team of highly energized and philanthropic leaders in the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation’s Impact Denver program selected Science Fair Fun’s project as their baby through the end of 2018. They are digging in and building out a three-year implementation plan for Science Fair Fun’s flagship program, IMPLEMENT Science Fair Fun.
With such diverse and highly skilled backgrounds, there is no doubt that this team is going to help Science Fair Fun broaden the impact of the IMPLEMENT program on K-12 students in the Denver Metro area. Meet the Impact Denver team members we are fortunate enough to work with:
- Kate Deeny
- Amy Goldstein
- Ash Harden
- David Lechner
- Michelle Muhleisen
- Hana Sayeed
- Luke Schroeder
This year alone, we expect to inspire & empower 7,750 students in 50 Colorado schools to believe in their abilities and know “Hey, I can do STEM!” Of those students this year:
- 1,500 students get to participate in their school’s very first Science & Engineering Fair.
- 5,700 students will be from schools with students of low-income communities where greater than 30% of the student population qualifies for Free & Reduced Lunch (FRL)*.
- 6,000 students will experience more inclusive project options and improved STEM skills during their school’s existing fairs.
Colorado will be the incubator for this innovative program that lays the foundation for more inclusive and skills-based K-12, school-wide Science & Engineering Fairs. The program is easily scale-able and will be available nationwide in 2020. To learn more about IMPLEMENT Science Fair Fun, visit our website here.
