As a teacher in a Title 1 school in the Denver community, schools need help from the community and science professionals in the area to best meet the needs of students who have interrupted learning especially in the STEM fields.

Business & Development Liaison

Leslie has over 10 years of teaching experience, which includes 7 years of STEM education in Pre-K through grade 8. She enjoys writing, and was able to combine her education and STEM backgrounds to develop and write STEM curricula for use all over the world, including the UK, China, and Malaysia. She also has been able to share her passion for STEM, by providing professional development to teachers, administrators, and education professionals to help improve STEM awareness and incorporation within the classroom

Programs Manager

Kimberly Hwa Davis has worked in nonprofits for the past 10 years. She has her bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of Kansas and worked for five years at the Denver Art Museum in family and community programs, creating content and facilitating programs for patrons of all ages.

Social Media Manager

Valerie Morris is a life-long learner who loves to soak up new information! She is a digital marketing strategist who believes that you can be successful in marketing AND have balance in life.

Web, Integration, and Data Manager

Avery is attending Colorado Mesa University in the fall of 2021 to pursue her Biology degree. Her future plans are to be a large animal vet. As a future STEM major, she strives to show young girls/women that they can be successful in a male-dominated field

District Partnerships & Grants Manager

Katie has centered her 18-year career around inequities within the field of early childhood education and family services. Her initial experiences as an Infant/Toddler and Preschool Teacher led Katie to recognize the need to impact change through program development, curriculum instruction, and non-profit business operations. 

Wendy Wempe

As a mother, research scientist, and educator, Wendy is driven to the core to level the Science & Engineering Fair playing field. Having dedicated 20+ years to STEM research, teaching, and mentorship, she recently ditched her career as a geophysics research professor to pursue this passion.
