I was born and raised in Mexico and I always liked math and science. My parents and teachers saw that and encourage me to consider a career in Engineering. Because of good grades and hard work I was able attend university. I found that I could use my degree to make and impact and help the environment. I landed an opportunity to work in the design and construction of some wind farms that open the door and passion in renewable energy.
What inspired you to explore STEM when you were young?
The thing that inspire me to explore STEM was being intrigue of how things work and breaking them apart to look at the inside to see if I could figure it out.
What do you enjoy most about what you do in your STEM career?
There are many things I enjoy by working in STEM but the main thing that set it apart is that not a single day is the same since we are always in the pursue of new ideas or projects
What is a fun, bizarre or insightful STEM fact about your field?
Working with power system people always find abstract the use of imaginary number to represent power losses.
