I am a PhD Student at University of Colorado Boulder studying Space Weather and its impact on technology. I was born and raised in Mumbai, India, where I got my Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. In the free time you can find me painting, gardening, climbing, engaging with community.
What inspired you to explore STEM when you were young?
As cliche as it sounds, it began with me learning that astronauts exist and that we can see rings of Saturn from here through this pipe with rounded glass attached to it.
What do you enjoy most about what you do in your STEM career?
Of the many cool things I get to do, I enjoy discussing ideas with scientists for future missions on earth and space exploration!
What is a fun, bizarre or insightful STEM fact about your field?
Did you know that although green colored aurora borealis and australis (also known as northern and southern lights respectively) occur frequently, they can turn also be found in red / blue / purple / pink / yellow colors under the right circumstances. Like a partial rainbow in the night sky!
